From purchasing your license online to an application that tells you where the fish are biting, there are a number of online resources and mobile apps that help anglers enhance their fishing experience in Indiana.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources website is a good place to start. Both resident and out-of-state anglers can purchase their fishing licenses here, and the website has a lot of good resources for fishing in Indiana, including a section on fishing in urban areas and also maps of the top fishing spots in the Hoosier State. If you aren't up to date on Indiana fishing regulations, you can also download a PDF version of the state guide that can be viewed on your smartphone.

There are also some good mobile fishing apps that can be downloaded on smartphones, which can help enhance the angling experience. Here are three to check out.
