1. Technically, Conner Gorry isn't a Cuban blogger, at least, not by birth. Instead, she moved to the country in 2002 from New York City, a move that has caused many to call her "crazy," according to the magazine OnCuba.

Conner Gorry has since been named to Mic's list of "5 Cuban Bloggers Who Opened Up Their Island (and Themselves) to the Rest of the World."

In the Mic piece, Conner Gorry was described as "snappy and honest on Here is Havana, where she dishes her extensive knowledge as an American journalist who has lived and worked in Cuba for over nine years. Gorry is great at getting past the BS and politics and giving her unvarnished perspective as a foreigner living in Havana."

2. Conner Gorry, a journalist accredited by the International Press Center, lauched the Here in Havana blog in 2009 and has written and contributed to several books like "Havana Street Style," National Geographic's "World's Best Cities," and "The Best Women's Travel Writing 2011."

3. Mic.com also reported that the blogger "has also been pushing her Cuba travel app quite extensively, which includes useful travel tips, guides to cheap(ish) restaurants, and other free/low-cost events for people traveling to the country."

Conner Gorry described the Havana Good Time app as "the most accurate and current app to one of the world's most enigmatic cities." There are many five-star reviews across all versions of the app.

 The blogger and app partner Sutro Media want users to know that Havana Good Time "cannot be downloaded in Havana, but is fully functional in Cuba."

4. She also founded in 2013 "the only English bookstore/coffeehouse on the island." The cleverly named Cuba Libro is as much a community investment as it as a small business, according to FoxNews.

5. Conner Gorry told Expat Focus that she is married to a Cuban, but still maintains her American citizenship and the responsibilities that come with it.
