Carly Fiorina, the former Hewlett-Packard CEO and the only woman so far who's seems to be seriously considering a Republican presidential campaign in 2016, has never successfully run for public office. Nonetheless, there are many who support her should she announce her candidacy.

Five leading pundits have this to say about Fiorina and her White House prospects:

1. David Carney

“She’s very articulate, she’s very thoughtful and has a very positive message,” David Carney, a strategist for past GOP presidential candidates, told The Washington Post. “She’s got just as much of a record of accomplishment and a story and ideas as anybody else who’s running.”

2. Keith Appell

“The 2016 GOP field will be of a higher caliber than 2012 no matter who runs, but it only helps the Republicans if they have at least one high-quality woman in that field, and Carly would be at the top of that list,” Keith Appell, a GOP strategist, told The Washington Times.

3. Will Rogers

Will Rogers, chairman of the Polk County, Iowa, GOP party, said Fiorina’s style, which is less aggressive than some of the GOP’s outspoken politicians like Michelle Bachmann and Sarah Palin, could make her popular with voters.

“I think Carly Fiorina’s approach is rather than try to separate people, let’s get them together. If she makes it into a general [election], she is going to have a lot of broad appeal,” Rogers told The Washington Times.

4. Jason Cabel Roe

Some pundits, like Jason Cabel Roe, a Republican consultant, see Fiorina as an answer to the female Democrat who is expected to run for president, Hillary Clinton.

Roe told the National Journal, "I don't think Carly's running for president. I think Carly's running for vice president. If Hillary Clinton's the nominee, Republicans need a woman front and center — probably on the ticket. And Carly knows that."

5. Sarah Isgur Flores

"Carly Fiorina is a sharp, thoughtful, and committed conservative leader who believes in the limitless potential of all Americans," Sarah Isgur Flores, the former Republican National Committee spokeswoman, told CNN.

Flores has since joined Fiorina’s political action committee, Unlocking Potential.
