Sheridan is the real deal. This Old West town has put its heart and soul into preserving its rich American history — and it has succeeded. Downtown Sheridan was named one of the Great Neighborhoods of 2008 because of its efforts to preserve buildings to reflect the Old West spirit. The Sheridan Inn, for example, is a National Landmark where William “Buffalo Bill” Cody auditioned acts for his famous Wild West Show. In addition, the city’s public arts initiative has dozens of outdoor pieces throughout the city. |
