Downtown Sheridan was named one of the Great Neighborhoods of 2008 because of its efforts to preserve buildings to reflect the Old West spirit. The Sheridan Inn, for example, is a National Landmark where William “Buffalo Bill” Cody auditioned acts for his famous Wild West Show.
