Nicknamed “Edmond, America,” this small town takes pride in its history, and in making history. It’s a great place to be around the Fourth of July. LibertyFest began in 1923 and has grown to a 10-day event with fireworks, Oklahoma’s largest parade, a beauty pageant, a kite festival, and a down-home-style rodeo. Edmond also has made a name for itself with its collection of public art. Random bits of beauty, from statues, to sculptures, to murals, and stained glass, are scattered throughout the city and downtown. |
