When I was invited to debate in favor of the motion “Is BDS Wrong?” at the Oxford Union, I fully expected to lose the vote of the 250 or so students and faculty who are members of the oldest debate society in the world.

The president had an obligation to try to obtain majority support. Not only did he fail to do that, he also failed to persuade a majority of Senate and House members. So this minority deal will go into operation over the objection of the majority of our legislators and voters.
