The credits of a new documentary about global warming include a familiar name: Gore. But it’s not former Vice President Al Gore, who has already done his global warming thing with "An Inconvenient Truth." This Gore is daughter Kristin.

"Arctic Tale” depicts the lives of a female polar bear and a female walrus from birth to parenthood, and focuses on the Arctic climate changes supposedly brought on by global warming. Kristin Gore, 30, is one of the co-writers.

According to the trade publication Variety, the movie has "an underlying message about multiple species threatened by man’s pigheaded behavior.”

"Arctic Tale,” narrated by Queen Latifah, opens nationally in August.

  Kristin Gore, a Harvard graduate, is a novelist and television writer whose credits include "Saturday Night Live.”
