Shriver Makes Calif. History Museum P.C.

California may have a glorious history, but the state’s first lady, Maria Shriver, is getting her way in changing the state’s history museum into a politically correct women’s forum.

When the cash-strapped California State History Museum turned to Shriver to help keep its doors open, she agreed to help ... as long as they caved in to her demands.

Notably, the museum's board of directors had to vote to turn the place into something "focused on women," the Sacramento Bee newspaper reported this week.

And that's just what the board did – well, except for the three board members who resigned in protest.

The paper said Wednesday's board member vote was unanimous to follow Shriver's suggestion, supposedly "after a lengthy discussion about ways to make sure California archives are still displayed prominently at the museum in the secretary of state's building in downtown Sacramento."

It's not immediately clear how the directors will "make sure" state archives are "still displayed prominently" while transforming the museum into a girl's place.

For her part, Shriver claimed her victory.

"The California State History Museum board considered today the option of closing its doors or moving forward with a sound business plan to give the museum a clear vision, identity and marketing strategy," she said in a statement.

What about the option of helping the History museum raise money to continue as ... the state history museum?

Shriver continued: "Once again, the board unanimously determined a revitalized museum showcasing California's living history, as told through the eyes of women, is one all Californians can be proud to claim as their own."

Good sense? Sounds more like Bolshevism to us. Kill off the opposition, then get a unanimous vote from the Central Committee. Follow up by rewriting history. Uncle Ted would be proud.
