Author: Schwarzenegger Worth $3 Billion
Arnold Schwarzenegger is a celebrity politician in America, but in Austria he's a folk hero and idol.
The New York Post's Page 6 reports today that Schwarzenegger's Austrian pal Hans Janitschek is writing a biography of the Terminator. The book, titled "Kaiser von Kalifornien" ("Emperor of California"), will be out in December.
The author has known Schwarzenegger for more than three decades, and his book draws not only from his life story but also "from astrologists, handwriting experts and the Gehmacher Institut, an Austrian market research group."
Here are just some of the book's findings:
Thirty-seven percent of Austrians say that Schwarzenegger will be president and that the U.S. will change its Constitution to allow this. (Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, is already pushing for an amendment to allow this, but we don't expect him to succeed.)
Schwarzenegger has been valued at more than $800 million, but Janitschek says he's really worth $3 billion, "thanks to his savvy investments."
"Arnold also has dual-citizenship, having been allowed to keep his Austrian passport. Explains Janitschek, 'One can only get dual citizenship [in Austria] if it's considered to be in the best interest of the Republic. Arnold is a terrific Austrian,'" the Post reported.
One might think with all the hoopla over Schwarzenegger, Austria is set to become the 51st state. The Austrians see it another way, according to the author: "the Austrian public has come to regard California as their 10th state."
