We now learn that it is her brother who got paid at least $400,000 to secure two pardons for big-time drug dealers.

Are you telling me that she did not know what her sleazy brother was up to?

How did Hugh Rodham even learn that he could bypass the proper process and do a last-minute end run around the Justice Department? (Roger Clinton, too, was supposedly running around offering pardons; it must have been common knowledge inside the first family that the bazaar was open at the end of the administration.)

Hillary – proclaimed the ‘smartest woman in the world’ by her acolytes – must know the greedy nature of her own flesh and blood. The memory of the disaster in the nation of Georgia is still fresh in the minds of Washington officialdom. (The Rodham brothers engaged in questionable business behavior with unsavory types in opposition to the hero president, Eduard Shevarnadze.)

So her smarts only go so far as to manipulate the already-compliant news media into buying her self-proclaimed ignorance of the Rich pardons and now her brother’s activities. But who can believe that Hillary – involved in every White House decision for eight years as co-president – was unaware of the pardon bonanza?

I thought she was smart.

If she is so smart she should have known that her husband and her brother were selling pardons.

And if she did not, she does not belong in the U.S. Senate.

No, the whole thing smells fishy. And requires a full criminal and congressional investigation.

My bet is Hillary was intimately involved in all of it, but proving that will be difficult. Criminals like Hillary and Bill have a certain blunderbuss quality about their perfidious behavior – but a unique ability to then escape capture. In fact, they get a kick out of tempting fate. Living "on the edge" is a turn-on for them.

If the national news media would ever focus their full resources like a laser on the Clintons and work hand in hand with criminal investigators, there is no telling what would be uncovered. Hidden bank accounts, cash payments, hobnobbing with known criminals, selling favors, out-and-out bribes – all are in the realm of possibility with the Clintons.

But this has never happened, because the news media have become an adjunct arm of the left and the Democratic National Committee. (This explains the explosive growth of the Fox News Channel as the only respected alternative to the left-leaning media.)

Someone needs to take the lead in investigating all aspects of the Clintons now – and risking vilification by the media. Perhaps Dan Burton or some senator will have the guts to go all out to get the truth – finally – on the criminal enterprise that was the Clinton administration.

Lefties now say, "Oh, let’s move on."

But we cannot move on until we know the truth of what has just happened. If there is "no there there," then we must move on. But if we uncover – as seems to be happening daily – more horrendous abuses of power by the Clintons, then we owe it to our nation to finally get to the truth.
