Although the U.S. Catholic bishops annual collection for the Campaign for Human Development no longer supports ACORN, the campaign's money continues to go to radical causes. The bishops should stop such funding.

Veterans put their lives on the line to protect the freedom we so much enjoy. This is why it is so important that we honor their courage and sacrifice in doing what so few others do.

The comfortable, establishment politicians of both parties should get ready for a serious primary challenge from angry tea party activists and grass-roots Americans.

In the Nov. 3 special election in New York, there is a three-way race to succeed Rep. John McHugh. The candidates are Democrat Bill Owens; Dede Scozzafava, a Republican who is more liberal than Owens; and Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman. Some GOP officials are campaigning for the left-wing Republican Dede Scozzafava, who's been backed in previous elections by ACORN's political party arm, the Working Families Party.
