Michigan authorities have charged a 20-year-old man with shooting a Ferris State University student at his off-campus apartment, while police continue seeking a man they say killed one Michigan State University student and wounded another near that school.
Ferris State safety Director Bruce Borkovich says DeCory Downing is charged with attempted murder and having a firearm in a felony.
Burkovich tells MLive.com that Downing has a long criminal record and isn't a student at the Big Rapids school.
School spokesman Sandy Gholston said police made the arrest late Saturday at an on-campus apartment. He says police are questioning a woman.
The victim's injuries aren't life-threatening.
Police in East Lansing say they're seeking a man who shot two 20-year-old Michigan State students. One died and the other was treated and released.
