Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen will deliver a Spanish version of the of the Republican Party's response to President Barack Obama's State of the Union Address on Tuesday.

The Florida congresswoman will parallel the English version of the response to be given by Washington Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers. The event will mark the first time that the GOP has chosen all women to give its official rebuttal of the president's remarks, CNN reports.

Ros-Lehtinen spokesman Keith Fernandez told CNN that the lawmaker was working on translating McMorris Rodgers’ planned speech and that the Spanish version will have essentially the same content but with changes of personal anecdotes or references.

The GOP has been stepping up its efforts to woo both women and Hispanics, two groups that voted solidly Democratic in the last two presidential elections. The party has also indicated that it is recruiting a more diverse set of candidates for the 2014 midterm elections.

Ros-Lehtinen also gave a State of the Union response in Spanish in 2011, working alongside Rep. Paul Ryan’s English version that year, according to CNN.
