An intriguing new documentary on former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, called "MITT," is set to be aired on TV next month.

Directed by longtime family friend Greg Whiteley, the in-depth film follows six years of Romney presidential campaigns culminating in his loss to President Barack Obama in 2012.

It even includes footage of the devastating moment he realizes that he's been beaten by Obama.

"I just can't believe you're going to lose," one of his sons is recorded saying to his father, according to Business Insider.

And in another candid moment on the original Netflix documentary, Romney says to a hushed room full of family and friends, "Yeah, so, what do you think you say in a concession speech? By the way, does somebody have a number for the President?"

Story continues below video.

Astonishingly, Romney is filmed ironing a shirt that he's already wearing, and he's seen joking that he's a "flipping Mormon."

Also on the trailer, Romney is shown lying on the floor of his plane trying to catch some sleep, while his wife Ann is recorded declaring that she would "never want to do this again."

At one point, the New York Daily News reports, Romney's eldest son Taag is overheard saying, "If you don't win, we'll still love you. The country may think of you as a laughingstock, and we'll know the truth, and that's okay."

The documentary has been selected for the Salt Lake City gala premiere of the Sundance Film Festival on January 17th, and then debuts on Netflix on Jan. 24.
