Romney Staff Rewarded With $200K in Bonuses

Friday, 21 Sep 2012 10:42 AM

Federal Election Commission disclosure forms show that the Romney presidential campaign doled out more than $200,000 in bonuses to senior staffers the day after Mitt Romney formally accepted the Republican Party’s nomination at its convention, The Washington Post reported.

Some top staffers received bonuses ranging from $25,000 to $37,500.

The bonuses come to light at a time when the campaign has been hit with a string of bad news including reports of a less-than-successful convention, anemic fundraising, poor poll numbers, and the release of a secretly recording video of Romney saying his job was not to worry about the 47 percent of Americans he said were dependent on government.
