Liberal "Morning Joe" host Mika Brzezinski says she does not disagree with Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus on his threatening letter to NBC and CNN about their plans to air programs on Hillary Clinton.

"I don't disagree with him, necessarily . . . I think, at least if there's an entertainment division, doesn't bother me so much. But if you're a news organization, it's kind of a conflict," Brzezinski said on the show Tuesday.

In a letter written Monday, Priebus was critical of plans by the networks to air specials on Hillary Clinton, widely-assumed to be planning a presidential bid in 2016 and said the RNC would not partner with either network in upcoming presidential debates, should the shows air.

"When it's a news organization, they're going to have to do a major documentary of a positive ilk on a Republican contender," Brzezinski said.

NBC responded to the RNC letter, saying, "NBC news is completely independent of NBC entertainment and has no involvement in the project."

"It cements in the minds of half the country that doesn't vote Democratic that doesn't embrace liberal media or doesn't trust the entertainment, it cements in the mind the idea it's a grand conspiracy," fellow "Morning Joe" panelist and Republican commentator Nicole Wallace said.
