Undercover videos taken by a pro-life activist group show workers at abortion clinics explaining how infants born from botched procedures would be left to die.

In the videos taken by members of Live Action, counselors discuss late-term abortions, including advice about what could happen in the event a fetus survived the procedure, The Washington Times reported.

One counselor at Dr. Emily Women’s Health Center in the Bronx said that if the baby is breathing after the abortion, it would be put “in a container — like a jar” with a toxic solution.

“The solution will make it stop. It’s not going to be moving around in the jar. … That’s the whole purpose of the solution,” said the counselor.

The videos “expose the truly gruesome, illegal, and inhuman practices going on inside many of America’s abortion clinics,” said Lila Rose, president of Live Action, according to the Times.

“Dr. Kermit Gosnell is not alone,” Rose said, referring to a trial in Philadelphia where an abortion doctor is accused of murder stemming from babies who were killed after surviving abortions.

In another video, Dr. Cesare Santangelo of the Surgi-Clinic in Washington, D.C., said that if an infant was born-alive during an abortion, “we would not help it,” according to The Washington Post.

“Legally, we would be obligated to help it, you know, to survive. But …it probably wouldn’t,” he told a woman who was 24 weeks pregnant.

Santangelo told the Post in an interview that he was trying to reassure the woman.

“What I said is, basically I wouldn’t do anything extraordinary,” Santangelo said. “We would call EMS. We would call 911. But I wouldn’t do intubation or anything. . . . You let nature take its course.”

Both the Times and the Post said the videos do not portray criminal acts by the abortion counselors, and the Post noted that Santangelo and other doctors in the videos said they "have never witnessed" a live birth as a result of an abortion attempt.

But Live Action called for the clinics to be investigated for possibly violating the federal Born-Alive Infants Protection Act of 2002, which says that infants born alive after a botched abortion have full legal rights under federal law.
