Sarah Palin has CNN in her sights.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, the former Alaska governor and Republican vice presidential candidate took the news network to task for not seeking her side in a story it did on the founder of a group on John Avlon, the co-founder of the political No Labels group.

“CNN: it’s no wonder your ratings still aren't matching competitors. American viewers are smarter than you assume, and we simply want truth in reporting,” Palin wrote.

Then, as a postscript, she posited: “I find it interesting that CNN recently disclosed that their old ‘Crossfire’ show might hit their airwaves again. Wasn’t CNN among those who issued blistering criticism about the use of a ‘crossfire’ icon in 2010 to represent political districts we wished to see represented by common-sense conservatives?”

Gun Control: Was Harry Reid right to Reject It?

Palin was referring to news reports that tied a map with crosshairs put out by her political action committee, SarahPac, to the Tucson, Ariz., shooting that injured Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and 18 others and killed 6 in January 2011. The map showed districts targeted for Tea Party efforts with a crosshair.

It was later discovered the shooter, Jared Lee Loughner, suffered from paranoid schizophrenia and had made detailed plans for the attack.

“CNN, among others, implied that using a “crossfire” icon (which was a tactic first employed by Democrats to illustrate political maps of districts they “targeted” to win) was inciting violence,” Palin wrote.

Palin said CNN employs some “top-notch reporters” who believe in good journalism, but said their efforts were diminished by the poor reporting of a few.
