A 55 percent majority of likely voters would like a repeal of the 2010 healthcare law, according to a new Rasmussen Reports poll.

That continues a streak of majority backing for repeal that goes back to April, 2011. And the 55 percent figure is the highest since late May, when support for repeal stood at the same level. The latest survey shows 39 percent of voters oppose repeal.

The 55 percent who support repeal include 41 percent who strongly favor it. And of the 39 percent who oppose repeal, 30 percent are strongly opposed.

The poll also shows that 40 percent of voters who have health insurance think it’s likely they will have to change their coverage because of Obamacare. That’s up from a record low of 31 percent earlier this month and represents the highest reading since late October 2011. However, 45 percent don’t think they’ll have to change coverage.

Meanwhile 77 percent of respondents with health insurance rate their current coverage as good, with 36 percent choosing excellent.
