Since President Barack Obama took office, the number of part-time jobs created has increased seven-fold compared to the number of full-time jobs, a trend many have argued has been caused by the impending implementation of Obamacare.

According to figures produced by the House Ways and Means Committee, 270,000 full-time jobs have been added since January 2009 compared to 1.9 million part-time jobs,  The Washington Times reports.

And according to recent data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics the number of part-time workers hit an all-time high in June.

Editor's Note : Video Exposes Dangers of Obamacare Law

Under Obamacare's employer mandate, businesses are required to provide health coverage to employees working more than 30 hours a week, although that mandate had been delayed for a year. Critics say businesses will slash full-time positions in a bid to cut costs.

Indeed, Republicans, business groups and unions are all united in their belief that the new healthcare law will contribute to a decrease in full-time workers, resulting in both a rise of part-time employees and a rise in unemployment.

Recent comments from U.S. Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke suggest that Obamacare could be a factor in persistent levels of unemployment and underemployment.
