Media tycoon Rupert Murdoch has taken to Twitter to announce his support of Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum, reports Politico.

The News Corporation owner used the social media platform to laud Santorum’s recent performance.

“From distance, Santorum doing great. Values really do count in America, and not sneered at as in parts of Europe. Win Michigan, game over,” Murdoch tweeted of the GOP race.

Murdoch has previously used his Twitter account to address social issues including most recently backing Scottish independence.
