As the presidential campaign winds down to its final days, Clint Eastwood will return to the stage in a new ad from American Crossroads.

Eastwood, who famously used an empty chair at the Republican National Convention as a stand-in for President Barack Obama, is part of a $12 million ad barrage by the super PAC that will air ads in seven states.

In the Eastwood ad, the Hollywood icon tells voters, “In the last few years, America has been knocked down . . . We need someone who can turn it around fast, and that man is Mitt Romney. There’s not much time left, and the future of our country is at stake.”

The ad will run in Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, Ohio, and Virginia. Other ad produced will focus on China and business owners.

“President Obama failed to turn the economy around over the last four years, hasn’t proposed anything new for the next four years, and we need to hold him accountable by electing a new president,” Steven Law, president and CEO of American Crossroads, said in a statement. “America is facing the slowest economic recovery in modern history, and our president hasn’t proposed to do anything different to turn it around.”
