Chuck Woolery, who hosted the “Love Connection,” "Wheel of Fortune" and “Scrabble” TV shows, tells Newsmax.TV that the best way to create jobs in the United States is to fire most members of Congress.

“I’m here to kind of improve the unemployment situation, by not employing more people. I would like to unemploy about 535 people,” Woolery said, referring to members of the Senate and the House, as he explained why he was at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington, D.C., last week.

Woolery was promoting his new organization, Restart Congress. On Presidents Day, Feb. 20, the group will release a plan to encourage something the former game show host calls “rotation of office.”

It’s time to vote nearly all members of Congress out of office and give other people a chance to “serve instead of reign,” he said during an exclusive interview with Newsmax.

Woolery said he also is working with an organization called Generation America. In a recent survey, 95 percent of its members favored term limits for both houses of Congress.

“It’s just amazing how everybody wants this and nobody is doing anything about it, although it’s been attempted and talked about for 15 or 20 years. We are going to make Congress so painful that home will be the pleasurable place for them to be,” Woolery said.
