MIAMI (AP) — An official says a chemical was also poured on a 10-year-old Florida girl who was found dead in a toxic pickup truck earlier this week along a busy interstate.

Authorities say the girl's twin brother was doused with a chemical and found in the front seat with seizures, overcome by the toxins. Their father, Jorge Barahona was nearby on the ground, unresponsive.

Barahona has pleaded not guilty to attempted first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse. His son, Victor, is in critical condition but is improving.

No charges have been filed in the girl's death. Authorities have also searched the parents' home.
