Shackleford Wins Preakness Stakes

BALTIMORE, May 21 (Reuters) - Shackleford won the $1 million Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course on Saturday.

Ridden by Jesus Castanon, Shackleford held off the fast-finishing Animal Kingdom, who started favorite after winning the Kentucky Derby two weeks ago, while Astrology was third.
