Women to Be in Majority on Fox News Show 'Outnumbered'

By Melissa Clyne   |

Though only 36 percent of Fox News’s anchors and correspondents are women, they will be in the majority by a 4-1 margin on a new show called "Outnumbered," according to Slate.

Weekdays at noon eastern time, a rotating cast of women, including Fox Report Weekend anchor Harris Faulkner, Fox Business Network’s Sandra Smith, "The Five" co-hosts Kimberly Guilfoyle and Andrea Tantaros and Fox News contributors Jedediah Bila, Katie Pavlich, and Kirsten Powers will take turns as four hosts, along with a rotating male panelist, Mediaite reported.

Fox News Senior Vice President Jay Wallace says "Outnumbered" will “push the envelope.” The lone male of the day will sometimes be a person of “national dialogue” that week, he added. "Outnumbered" will tackle news, entertainment and pop culture, according to a statement.

According to Slate, women make up 48 percent of anchors and correspondents on MSNBC  and 58 percent on CNN.

"Outnumbered" debuts April 28.
