FBI agents arrested a Philadelphia man for making deadly threats against Democratic Sen. Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut.

U.S. Capitol Police stumbled upon a blog post written by Dmitry Dyatlov, 23, in which he allegedly threatened the former vice presidential candidate, NBC reported.

"Actually, there is, at least, one Jew, who we absolutely must shoot in the face [many times], ASAP: Joe Lieberman," NBC quotes Dyatlov’s alleged post as saying.

A coworker reported the post to authorities after Dyatlov stopped showing up at his computer technology job.

Dyatlov, a U.S. citizen who emigrated from Uzbekistan in 1998, allegedly told FBI agents who visited his apartment that he “hated” Lieberman, and that, although he did not intend to attack the senator himself, he would not object if someone else did.

"I'm gonna leave you gentlemen with a final thought,” NBC quotes Dyatlov as telling the agents. “In order to fix the system, you sometimes need to break the system." Asked whether that was meant as a threat, he responded, “It is what it is.”

Dyatlov is expected to be monitored electronically after he is released on bail.
