Teen heartthrob Justin Bieber opposes abortion, and questions it even more pointedly than Rolling Stone reports in its cover story on the Canadian singing sensation. Rolling Stone acknowledges as much in an online correction today to the print edition that hits the stands tomorrow, blaming an editing error for misrepresenting part of Bieber’s views on the topic.

Justin Bieber, Rolling Stone, AbortionIn answer to contributing editor Vanessa Grigoriadis’ question about whether he has a solid opinion on abortion, Bieber responded: "I really don't believe in abortion. It's like killing a baby?"

Grigoriadis pressed him on cases of rape, and those who buy the print edition will see this quote: "Um. Well, I think that's really sad, but everything happens for a reason. I guess I haven't been in that position, so I wouldn't be able to judge that."

Rolling Stone’s correction cites the entire quote (originally deleted sentence in bold): "Um. Well, I think that's really sad, but everything happens for a reason. I don't know how that would be a reason. I guess I haven't been in that position, so I wouldn't be able to judge that."

The sentence missed the rolling presses because of an editing error, the mag explains.

As for Bieber’s philosophy on matters sexual, Stone reports that he says, “I don't think you should have sex with anyone unless you love them.”

When Grigoriadis asked whether he believes in abstinence until marriage, Bieber fudged a bit: "I think you should just wait for the person you're . . . in love with."

The 16-year-old Bieber reportedly is dating another teen star, Selena Gomez, although they've been circumspect about their relationship.
