A video diary entry by Casey Anthony, acquitted in July of the murder of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, has surfaced online, and Anthony has been verified by NBC News and other sources as the person in the video.

Anthony, who has changed her hair to blonde and now wears glasses, speaks in the video about her new computer and dog.

“It’s kind of nice to say I have some belongings that are mine that I’ll be able to keep with me when I leave next year,” she says in the video  purportedly made on Oct. 13. “It’s kind of funny to think about, actually. It’s going to be a while before I leave, I’m going to be here for many months more. I’m going to be here for six months, even if I get off probation early.”

Anthony was convicted on several counts of lying to authorities about the disappearance of her daughter, and was ordered to pay the state of Florida $217,000 in restitution for resources spent in the search for Caylee, whose remains were found in December 2008.

Casey Anthony is living in an undisclosed location in Orange County, Fla., where she was ordered to remain while serving one year of probation for check fraud. She is still appealing the convictions of lying to police.

“She’s almost talking like she’s in jail there, wherever she is,” said  legal commentator Dan Abrams on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” “It’s a very odd thing to say, as if she’s got a specific place she has to stay for a certain amount of time.”

It is unclear if Anthony posted the video herself or if someone else leaked it.

Anthony still faces civil suits related to the murder case that will move forward after her criminal appeal is complete. Abrams noted that during the civil case, Anthony will not have the right against self-incrimination, and “would then have to testify the same way [acquitted murderer] O.J. Simpson did.”
