Thousands of truckers are reportedly planning a massive protest in Washington, D.C., this weekend in which they'll block the highway that runs around the nation's capital in an effort to "shut down America."

The demonstration, "Truckers Ride for the Constitution," aims to tie up all three lanes of Interstate 495, which loops around D.C., by driving 55 mph in protest of low wages, fuel prices, the debt ceiling, regulations, the government shutdown, President Barack Obama, and "the corruption that is destroying America," according to U.S. News & World report.

Motorists wishing to pass the convoy must have "T2SDA" — "Truckers to Shut Down America" — displayed somewhere on their vehicle, the organization said.

The truckers ultimately want members of Congress arrested for allegedly violating the Constitution, one member told U.S. News.

"We want these people arrested, and we're coming in with the grand jury to do it," Earl Conlon, a trucker who said he's helping with the protest's logistics, said. "We are going to ask the law enforcement to uphold their constitutional oath and make these arrests. If they refuse to do it, by the power of the people of the United States and the people's grand jury, they don't want to do it, we will... We the people will find a way."

But the group later distanced itself from Conlon's comments.

"Folks, here's the entire scoop on US News & World Report attempting to get a sensational title from someone not authorized to speak on behalf of all peaceful protesters," read a note posted Monday night on the "Truckers Ride" Facebook page. "As we approach the event, this is what we can expect from the MSM and potential saboteurs — but NOTHING will stop us!"
