Teri Polo, the actress who played Ben Stiller's love interest in the "Meet the Parents" movies, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last week, citing debts of nearly $1 million.
Polo, who currently stars on the ABC Family series "The Fosters," owes about $772,000 in back taxes to the IRS and more than $36,000 in credit card bills, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.
The 44-year-old is also reportedly facing a $30,000 lawsuit from her former landlord who's claiming Polo's pets destroyed her rental home by urinating on the carpet.

Though the "Meet the Parents" movies were all hits at the box office, Polo's career kind of stalled in 2005 after she appeared nude in Playboy magazine. But the actress said she never regretted her decision.
"It was one of the best experiences of my life. I'm very proud," she told Hollywood Life at the time
. "We shouldn't be ashamed of the human body. The human body is beautiful, and it’s a shame we put such a taboo on certain things. Why be ashamed? It’s such a beautiful thing."
In addition to the "Meet the Parents" trilogy and the ABC Family series, Polo has also appeared on "The West Wing," "Law & Order: LA," "Castle," and "Criminal Minds."
