Steve Harvey is being sued by ex-wife Mary Shackelford for $60 million, accusing him of "soul murder." Harvey's lawyer is shrugging it off.

Shackelford, who was married to the "Family Feud" host from 1996 to 2005, charged him with numerous complaints in the lawsuit, reported E! News, including child endangerment, torture, conspiracy against rights, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and breach of contract.

She also accused the ubiquitous television host with "soul murder," which she described as being "achieved by a combination of torture, deprivation, and brainwashing," said E! News.

"The suit is rambling at times, but Mary's main point is she's emotionally and physically destroyed after losing her son, her businesses, and the joy of Mother's Days," summarized TMZ.

Harvey's attorney Brandon Williams responded to TMZ on the lawsuit, calling it "meritless."

"Mr. Harvey vehemently denies any allegations set forth in the lawsuit," Williams told TMZ. "The complaint is meritless, frivolous and the allegations are completely false. We will vigorously defend/counterclaim against the complaint."

Harvey was most recently in the news when a sourced leaked a memo he wrote to the staff of the "Steve Harvey Show," ordering them to not talk with him in the hallways and not to visit his dressing room or makeup room, reported "Entertainment Tonight."

Harvey complained to "Entertainment Tonight" that he felt some staffers were taking advantage of his previously open door policy.

"I could not find a way to walk from the stage to my dressing room, to sit in my makeup chair, to walk from my dressing room to the stage or to just sit and have lunch without somebody just walking in," said Harvey." "I've always had a policy where, you know, you can come and talk to me – so many people are great around here, but some of them just started taking advantage of it."

"Look man, I'm in my makeup chair, they walk in the room. I'm having lunch, they walk in, they don't knock. I'm in the hallway, I'm getting ambushed by people with friends that come to the show and having me sign this and do this. I just said, 'Wait a minute.' And in hindsight, I probably should've handled it a little bit differently."
