The warmer spring weather will tantalize many in the Midwest and East this weekend, weather experts say.

Accuweather issued “Spring Fever Alert” in which people in the Tennessee Valley area and in the Eastern region may see temperatures in the 60s this weekend. Even residents in New England, where the winter weather has been especially brutal, will see temperatures in the 30s.

Although there will be a chilly push of air coming in Sunday, a few days of less extreme weather could be enough to get people out of the house and give them hope that spring is on the horizon.

However, Accuweather ended its hopeful spring weather story with the warning of a storm in the Southeast into the Midwest next week. The storm is expected to come from the Gulf of Mexico and bring snow, ice, and rain.

The Weather Channel reported the “other side” of the story, which is the area north of the Tennessee Valley area is looking at minor snow showers and some cold weather this weekend.

The Weather Channel also reported it’s looking like a storm may produce “significant” snowfall for New York and surrounding states as far west as Ohio.

Despite groans over the projected winter weather, many online are hanging onto hope for milder temperatures.
