A nun singing an Alicia Keys song stunned "Italian Voice" judges this week. The young nun, Sister Cristina Scuccia, a 25-year-old member of the Ursuline Sisters of the Holy Family, owned the stage when she belted out Keys' hit song "No One."

Having begun with their back turned to the stage, as is customary on the reality TV singing competition, the judges one by one turned to the stage in approval of what they heard only to be nearly knocked from their seats in shock when they saw the habit-wearing talent before them jumping about on the stage.

Scuccia, a Sicilian native, was asked by "Voice" judge and professional singer Raffaella Carra if she was actually a nun, to which she responded, "Yes, I am truly, truly a sister," the Catholic News Agency reported.

"I came here because I have a gift and I want to share that gift," Scuccia added. "I am here to evangelize."

One of those judges who were wowed by Scuccia's performance was Italian rapper J-Ax, who jokingly told the sister, "If I had found you at Mass I would always be in church. . . You and me are like the devil and holy water," the Huffington Post reported.

Scuccia, who was accompanied by three other sisters from her order who cheered her along backstage, wound up choosing to be on J-Ax's team, being that he was the first one who turned to see her, telling the audience, "because I told myself that if they turned around, I would choose the first one."

When asked by the judges how the Vatican would react to her performance, Scuccia said, "I hope that Pope Francis will call me now," the New York Daily News reported.
