Former Sen. Russ Feingold, D-Wis., was a powerful advocate for campaign finance reform during his Senate tenure, which ended in January. And now, he’s going after colleagues in his own party for taking in unlimited and undisclosed outside money, Politico reports.

In a speech Thursday, Feingold had harsh words for Priorities USA Action, a pro-White House group that two former administration officials created in April to help raise $100 million for President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign.

“I fear that the Democratic Party is in danger of losing its identity,” Feingold said. “Creating those kinds of Super PACs is wrong . . .  People will see us as weak. People will see us as Corporate Lite. It’s not just wrong. It’s a dumb strategy.”
