A shooting left two men dead and a woman critically injured Tuesday evening in what police believe was a plotted double murder-suicide involving a college couple in Salisbury, Md.
A young man reportedly shot and killed another man and wounded a female before turning the gun on himself at a home near Salisbury University, police told The Daily Times.
The male victim was later identified as former Salisbury University student Charles Abbott, 19. He was pronounced dead at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis told The Times.

The wounded female, identified as current Salisbury student Kristen Loetz, 20, was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in critical but stable condition.
Authorities do not believe the shooter was a Salisbury student. CBS Baltimore identified him as 21-year-old Ryan Shallue.
"This terrible news is shocking, and I remind our students that they are not alone in their feelings," Salisbury University president Janet Dudley-Eshbach said in the statement Tuesday. "The Counseling Center is open this evening and also will be open tomorrow for those seeking comfort and guidance. We are a caring community and I know we will support one another following this tragedy."
The shooting shook the Salisbury community, where students had just started classes last week.
"It's nerve-wracking now that this has happened," junior Kristin Dabney said.
