On his national radio show today, while discussing Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain’s Thursday night appearance on Lawrence O’Donnell’s MSNBC show “The Last Word,” Rush Limbaugh charged that liberals ran a plantation, and that O’Donnell is a “plantation master.”
“O’Donnell berates Herman Cain for not being a good black,” Limbaugh said, referring to O’Donnell’s questions to Cain about why he was not active during the civil rights movement.
Limbaugh went on to charge that the left, and specifically O’Donnell, are bigots.
“The left – they claim that they’re the ones that are color blind . . . when in fact they’re the biggest bigots among all of us,” he said. “O’Donnell is not black, he is the plantation master.”
According to Limbaugh, blacks are not welcome to work with the Democratic party unless they “toe the line” on Democratic party policies.
“The libs run a plantation,” he said, “and the blacks in the Democrat party are the people that work for them, and in order to serve in the Democrat party as a black, you gotta toe the line . . . it’s just a reworking of the old traditional arrangement.”
He went on to say that the Democratic party is open-minded regarding color only when people agree with party policies, or are willing to deliver money and votes to the party.
“Jesse Jackson gets his seat at the Democrat party power table by delivering votes . . . if he ever strayed from it, he’s gone – bye-bye. There’s no personal affection for Jesse Jackson,” said Limbaugh. “The left is never, for all their talk about color blindness and want (sic) to get rid of the original sin of slavery… it ain’t gonna happen if the black is the Republican. It ain’t gonna happen if the black is a conservative.”
