There's a Royal baby on the way — Prince William and his bride, the Duchess of Cambridge, will become parents in the next few days — but the Pew Research Center found most Americans aren’t following the couple’s plunge into parenthood
The research organization polled Americans about their interest in the Royal family’s newest addition, and found that just 25 percent said they are following the news very or fairly closely.

In general, Americans disavow strong interest in the Royal family, shown by Pew Research polls done since the 1980s. Sixty percent of those asked usually don’t follow what’s happening with Britain’s royalty.
The exception to that was when Princess Diana was killed in a car accident, and then 85 percent of Americans said they were tracking those news stories closely, Pew research showed.
Even if Americans aren’t closely watching for the Royal baby’s arrival, the Royal Family itself is excited and awaiting the delivery. The Duchess, formerly Kate Middleton, is due this weekend, according to The Telegraph
Quoting a “well-placed source,” The Telegraph said the Duchess of Cambridge is feeling well. Her mother-in-law, the Duchess of Cornwall, was asked about the baby and was heard to say, “Yes, we are very excited – immensely looking forward to it and waiting for the phone call,” The Telegraph reported.
The whole of Britain seems excited about the impending birth. A local supermarket near where Prince William and his wife live even reserved a special parking spot for the couple, The Telegraph reported
The news organization reported the space is at the ASDA store in Llangefni, Anglesey, and was sprayed with “HRH Reserved,” and decorated with crowns.
“We hope that the addition of her own parking space will entice her and her little Prince or Princess of Cambridge back to Asda,” a store manager said, according to The Telegraph.
