The couple publicly announced last June that they were splitting after 30 years of marriage. They have two daughters in their late 20s.

"The divorce has completed," Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov told state-owned Itar-TASS news agency, according to Agence-France Press.
"It was a joint decision," the 61-year-old Putin said in a press conference last June. "We hardly see each other, each of us has our own life."
In 2008, Putin denied rumors that he was secretly divorced and planning to marry former Olympic gymnast Alina Kabayeva, who was one of the final six torchbearers at the opening ceremony of the Sochi Winter Games. Kabayeva appeared on the cover of Vogue magazine in January 2011.
Beyond his marital issues, Putin generated international headlines last month by annexing Ukraine's Crimea region.
