Oscar Pistorius, the South African double amputee Olympian awaiting trial for the February murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, was reportedly knocking back shots and flirting with women as he partied over the weekend in Johannesburg.

Several witnesses claim they saw Pistorius partying at a trendy Johannesburg restaurant Saturday night.

"He was greeting a couple and then gave the woman a little pat on her backside," one witness told the Sunday Times. "It was just so inappropriate… He was drinking shooters and he was flirtatious. He didn’t seem like someone [who had] lost the love of his life."

Pistorius denied partying, saying he simply enjoyed a meal with friends.

"Oscar did go out last Saturday with friends. It was the first time since the tragic and horrific events of Feb. 14 that Oscar went out with friends," Pistorius' spokeswoman Anneliese Burgess said in a statement. "He has been out of the house with family, but this was the first time he went out to a restaurant with people other than close family."

Pistorius, 26, is currently free on bail after allegedly shooting and killing Steenkamp at the couple's home on Valentine's Day morning. Pistorius claims he fired the shots into a locked bathroom door when he mistook Steenkamp for an intruder in the middle of the night.

Last month, a South African judge softened Pistorius' bail conditions, ruling that he would no longer be barred from drinking alcohol, checking in with a probation officer, or leaving the country.

Pistorius' amazing struggle against adversity warmed the hearts of the world during the 2012 London Olympics when he became the first double amputee to compete against able-bodied runners at the games. He reached the semifinals of the 400-meter race and took home a silver medal for South Africa. His carbon-fiber prosthetic blades earned him the nickname "Blade Runner."

Pistorius was reportedly born without fibula bones and underwent double amputation below the knee as an infant.
