Oprah Winfrey suffered a slight back injury while trying to pick up a birthday gift her friend, director Tyler Perry, sent her.
Perry sent a bunch of flowers to the media maven on Tuesday for her 59th birthday.
"I FEEL SO BAD," Perry wrote in a Facebook post after he heard the news of Oprah's back strain
. "I like to send really large flower arrangements to people for whatever occasion. Well, I sent one to Oprah yesterday for her birthday. She strained her back picking it up. No joke! Feel better Oprah. Happy birthday. Sorry. :-( Next year I'm sending her one rose. :-)"
Perry wasn't the only one who sent Oprah the flowers, though she didn't hurt herself with any of the other arrangements.
Feeling the floral love, and she bragged about her gifts on Twitter.
Winfrey also assured the filmmaker that there was no ill will about the accident: "@tylerperry no need to feel bad, love the roses and got an extra day in bed. Can you say #icepack," she wrote.
Earlier in the day, she tweeted a photo of herself with her longtime beau Stedman Graham, revealing she'd be spending her special day with him.
"Thanks everyone for your birthday wishes," she wrote, "Enjoying lunch with Stedman. No plans to leave p.j.'s all day," accompanied by a picture of the pair.
In 2012, Oprah signed a deal with Perry to executive produce, write, and direct two scripted series for her OWN network television channel. The shows will be the first programs of their kind on Oprah's network.
