President Barack Obama is the one playing God and trampling all over the First Amendment with his recent controversial birth-control mandate, according to Rush Limbaugh. Responding to a statement by Time Magazine’s Joe Klein on MSNBC Sunday about Republicans “living in an alternate universe where Rush Limbaugh is God,” the radio show host retorted “Obama’s playing God.”

“Let me tell you who’s playing God: That’s Obama — Obama’s playing God,” Limbaugh said. “He thinks he is God and he has been acting this way since the campaign started in 2007 or 2008.”

According to Limbaugh, none of the GOP candidates discussed contraception at all until ABC debate moderator George Stephanopoulos brought up the question back in early January. Now that the issue has been brought up, the Democrats and the liberal media will not let it disappear.

The media “doesn’t want Republicans talking about the economy because it’s a blithering failure for Obama, that’s why the whole contraception thing came up,” Limbaugh said. “The emphasis in recent weeks on social issues is due to the media.”

In addition, Limbaugh stated that the Founding Fathers did not intend for a separation of church and state when drafting the Constitution and Obama is trampling all over the First Amendment and abusing his power.
