Comedian and political activist Hisham Fageeh’s viral video “No Woman, No Drive” pokes fun at Saudi Arabia’s policies that keep women from driving – and has racked up more than 5.7 million hits in three days.

Created to the tune of Bob Marley’s “No Woman, No Cry,” the funny commentary is the most-watched video in Saudi Arabia, the New York Daily News reported. Women are banned from driving in Saudi Arabia.

“Say I remember when you used to sit in the family car, but backseat,” Fageeh sings mournfully. “Ova-ovaries all safe and well, so you can make lots and lots of babies.”

The comedian goes on to point out that women sit in the back seat, driven like a queen, but can still cook dinner. “Your feet is your only carriage,” he croons.

The video was posted Saturday, the same day as activists in Saudi Arabia began promoting the rights of women to drive and encouraging women to post pictures and video of themselves driving, The Guardian said.

Women apparently drove that day and over the weekend, posting pictures of themselves behind the wheel, in spite of an increased police presence in Riyadh meant to discourage the activity.

One woman, Samia el-Moslimany, was detained by police and made to sign papers saying she wouldn’t drive again, the Guardian reported.

CNN interviewed Fageeh and the video’s co-creator Fahad Albutairi who said they’ve gotten mixed reactions on the video.

“Everything’s gonna be all right, everything’s gonna be all right,” Fageeh sang, and one woman protesting the Saudi Arabian driving restrictions told CNN she enjoyed the light-hearted aspect of the comedians’ work.

“It cracked me up and I laughed and I shared it with everybody,” Tamador Alyami, a Saudi Arabian online commentator, told CNN.
