Despite President Barack Obama’s love of the game, NBA owners have fallen for Mitt Romney. Of the 10 owners who have contributed to either campaign, eight have given to Romney, The Washington Post
The Post, examining a list of campaign contributions compiled by hoopshype.com, found that Romney has taken in $70,000 while Obama has gotten $52,650, mostly from players and staff. The owners have given Romney $49,000 while they have given Obama $6,100.
The Obama campaign is calling on NBA players to step up their game. The campaign has recently announced a fundraising promotion called “Obama Classic.” It will feature Michael Jordan, Patrick Ewing, Carmelo Anthony and others, the Post reported.
