Moms all over can score free food, activities, and perks with this year's special Mother's Day freebies and deals, a welcome alternative to the tired flowers and chocolates.

On May 12, a handful of retailers and businesses are offering discounts in store and on the web, ranging from free yoga classes to 40 percent off flower arrangements.

IKEA will treat Mom to a free breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, and coffee on May 12 from opening until 11 a.m.

Redbox is offering a free one-day rental when you buy an e-gift card for Mother's Day.

1-800-Flowers is offering deals up to 40 percent off bouquets and gifts with no promotional code required. 

Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar will give mothers who eat at its locations on Mother's Day a $25 gift card for a future visit.

Amazon.com is featuring free, personalized Amazon.com Mother's Day cards from JibJab.

Uno will offer moms a free mini dessert on May 12 with no coupon necessary.

My Yoga Online, an online yoga video company, is offering 1,000 free yoga classes for Mother's Day.

TCBY will give away a free frozen yogurt (up to 6 ounces) to all moms on May 12.

At Hooters, when moms order any meal priced $10 or less, plus a drink, the food is on the house. Mom must be accompanied by at least one of her children to qualify.
