On Monday, the federal government agreed to comply with a judge's order to allow girls of any age to buy emergency contraception without prescriptions.
The news comes as lawsuits challenging the Affordable Care mandate for employers to pay for employees' birth control have been rolling in.
Suits have been filed by an array of small businesses — a crafts store, an auto-parts manufacturer, a contractor, a woodworker, and several others. Many of the businesses are opposing the policy on religious grounds and plan to push the issue to the Supreme Court.

Court cases are already underway; two of the cases start Wednesday in the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago. Oral arguments in three other cases are to be heard in other appeals courts by early June, according to Politico.
