Miranda Kerr, the Victoria's Secret supermodel, was reportedly the reason why two Australian billionaires began brawling in the street over the weekend, according to the Daily Mail.

Media moguls and childhood friends James Packer and David Gyngell reportedly got into a fistfight in Sydney Sunday when Gyngell, 48, expressed his frustration over how Packer, 46, has been treating his estranged wife. The U.K. gossip site claims that Packer left his wife for 31-year-old Kerr last year.

The public street brawl near Bondi Beach reportedly left Packer with a black eye and Gyngell with a missing tooth. The tussle also gave shutterbugs a show and now as many as 50 photos from the fight are posted online, some fetching in upwards of $185,000 from news organizations, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The men reportedly had a talk after the street fight and issued a joint statement Monday.

"We have been friends for 35 years and still are," the public remarks read. "In that time we have had our fair share of ups and downs. We respect each other and neither of us will be commenting further."

The Guardian reported that Gyngell, News Nine chief executive, said privately Tuesday that the altercation started when he turned up at Packer's home to confront him after a dispute that started in a phone conversation.

A source told The Guardian that the argument stemmed from long-simmering tension over Packer's divorce. Packer, a producing partner in the hit movie "Gravity," sold Consolidated Media Holdings to Newscorp in 2012, according to Forbes, and owns a gaming interest in Australia.

People magazine first reported the pairing of Packer and Kerr, the ex-wife of actor Orlando Bloom, in December.

Both Packer and Gyngell were fined $500 for disturbing the peace, according to the Daily Mail.
