Miley Cyrus has once again found herself the center of attention, this time for a suggestive duet with pop star Madonna on MTV's "Unplugged" that ends with the former "Hannah Montana" star slapping the erstwhile Material Girl on the rear end.

Cyrus’ performance on the iconic series was highlighted when Madonna joined her on stage for a mashup of their hits “We Can’t Stop” and “Don’t Tell Me.”

Cyrus was up to her usual lewd acts and tongue wagging during the show. But what left most people talking was the not-such-a-surprise performance with Madonna. Both stars donned Western-inspired ensembles as they engaged in some serious grinding. It ended with the much-discussed spank.

“That was pretty f—ing cool, you guys,” Cyrus said later, as reported by E! Online. “It sounds super-lame, but as a pop star, it’s pretty cool performing with Madonna. … Today was one of those days that it was really easy to get out of bed.”

Cyrus tweeted after the filming was over:

This being a show featuring Cyrus, though, there was plenty of twerking, which the former child star did on a giant, costumed horse while singing a country rendition of “4x4.” She also sang several tunes from her "Bangerz" album, including “Adore You,” “Drive,” and “Wrecking Ball.”

The Los Angeles Times said the show illustrates Cyrus’ continuing transformation. It gave her a lukewarm review, though, writing the duet with Madonna left much to be desired. It added: "Though the song sounded terrible, there was something undeniably exciting about watching the singers continue to say no — Madonna to those who insist she give it up, Cyrus to those who demand she just be herself."
