Hollis Jane, one of the dancers dressed up in a bear costume during Miley Cyrus' now infamous MTV Video Music Awards performance
in August said the whole experience left her "shaking and crying."
Jane told Entertainment Tonight Monday that Cyrus' on-stage antics were not necessarily the cause of her concern,
but the entire routine, where she claimed she did not know until she arrived for practice in New York that she would have to dress up in a bear costume.

She said the routine left her feeling more like a stage prop than actually part of the performance.
"I'm not necessarily upset with Miley," Jane told ET. "It was just a personal reaction to an experience I had. I will be the first one to tell you that standing on that stage, in that costume was one of the most degrading things I felt like I could ever do."
Jane, a little person, said on her blog she felt she was chosen
for the VMA performance because of her height and nothing more, which made her feel uncomfortable.
"We can all agree that right now all Miley Cyrus wants to do is make society’s jaw drop," Jane wrote on her blog Oct. 9, revealing for the first time she was one of the dancers dressed as a bear on the VMA show.
"So what’s more 'weird' or 'freaky' than having little people parading around in your show? As someone who is trying to make it as a serious actress in this industry, not just trying to 'be famous' or make money, there is nothing more frustrating than this stigma," she continued.
Jane added she had not seen herself being a midget as something she should be embarrassed about, but that changed with the awards show.
"When I did the VMAs, I did feel like that," Jane said. "For the first time I felt truly ashamed of being a little person. We were being used simply because we were little. It felt like society still saw us as a joke, despite the fact there is literally nothing different about me other than the fact I am small."
Jane claimed in her blog that she was asked to join Cyrus in Las Vegas but turned it down, unable to reconcile her VMA experience with something that would lead her to what she wanted to do in Los Angeles as an actress.
