The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced Monday an expanded recall of products made at a Windsor, Colo. meat company.

The department's food and safety inspection service made the decision because the meat products at Yauk's Specialty Meats were made under unsanitary conditions, according to Food Safety News.

The Associated Press reported that the meat products were sold in Colorado, Nebraska, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming. The service found rodent activity at the meat company and has suspended the assignment of inspectors at the establishment.

The food and safety inspection service added that its investigation into Yauk's continued this week.

The recalled products can be identified by the establishment number "Est. 20309" inside the USDA Mark of Inspection. The products include Corner Post meats brand hams and bacon, Old Style Sausage smoked andouille sausage and Old Style Sausage smoked kielbasa sausage.

The recall expands on previous recalls announced on Dec. 12 and Dec. 9. The Dec. 12 recall was on products identified by the establishment numbers "Est. 20309" or "P-20309," according to Food Safety News.

The brands covered include Four Sisters Farm, Heart Rock Bison, High Point Bison, Luc’s Pizza, Mountain States Poultry & Meats, Open A Bar 2, Rocky Plains Quality Meats, Schmidt’s Bakery & Deli, Wag’s Livestock, Wayne’s Specialty Meats, Windsor Dairy, Wyoming Pure Beef and Yauk’s Specialty Meats.

The Dec. 9 recall included the brands Colorado’s Best Beef brand various fresh, smoked and shelf-stable meat products; James Ranch brand jerky and summer sausage, Rocky Plains Meats brand hams, bacon, raw and smoked sausage, jerky and raw poultry; Long Family Farms brand smoked pork products; Horned Beef brand jerky; and Mile High Hungarian Sausage brand fresh and smoked bacon and sausage.

The agriculture's food and safety inspection service makes routine recall effectiveness checks around the country to make sure certain products are no longer available to consumers.
